While we were on vacation recently, the hubby and I decided to try a couple of the restaurants that had been featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". Naturally I had to take photos. Here's my scrapbook layout of the event.
My photos are 3 x 3.
The mat is Cajun Craze cut at 6.5 x 6.5.
The mat is stamped and edged with Early Espresso and Cajun Craze using the Extreme Elements set (retired).
The circle in at the upper right hand corner of the mat is also Cajun Craze, punched at 1 1/4 with the bottom trimmed a bit.
The circle is also stamped and edged with Early Espresso and Cajun Craze using the Extreme Elements set (retired).
I wrote on the circle as my journaling element.
I used the Word Window punch on Naturals Ivory card stock to write the name of each restaurant, what we ate there and where it was located. The Word Window labels were edged and stamped with Early Espresso and the Extreme Elements set (retired).
The sign is a mock-up of the one from the TV show.
Diner: Chocolate Chip card stock for mat, Cajun Craze card stock for lettering. Lettering cut using the Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge.
Drive-ins: base is So Saffron card stock. Arrow was hand drawn. Lettering is Chocolate Chip card stock cut using the Platin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge.
Dives: base is Naturals Ivory card stock cut by hand with rounded corners. Sign was edged and stamped with Early Espresso and the Extreme Elements set (retired). Lettering is Chocolate Chip & So Saffron card stock cut using the Platin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge. The D & V were edged with Early Espresso.
The post is a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock.
The background paper is from the Well Worn Designer Series Paper (retired).
Wish the photo was better but it was taken at night. The colors are so much warmer in real life.
Enjoy!
