Autumn in the Air

Our August stamp class focused on Autumn stamping. My lovely ladies in attendance learned several new techniques & tricks  and we had a great time - as usual. If you haven't attended one of my classes, clear some time to try one. We always have fun and there's always plenty of laughter.

Here's what we made:

We’re using some of the new “In Colors” today!

Tip for Tuesday – use your border punches on BOTH sides of a strip of paper to create a completely different look.

Supplies:

Ribbon

Directions:

  • The card is a Whisper White standard size card.
  • Using Midnight Muse ink stamp the circle image on the right side of the card base, one at the top of the card and one at the bottom of the card.
  • Using Raspberry Ripple ink, stamp the same image in between the other two.
  • Stamp the image again in Raspberry Ripple ink on a scrap of Whisper White paper.
  • Punch the image out of the scrap of Whisper White using the 1 3/8” circle punch.
  • Apply Dazzling Details in selected parts of the white part of the image, be sure ink is completely dry before application to avoid ink running.

  • Adhere a length of white ribbon down the middle of the scalloped strip.

Sponged Sunset

Today's card is pretty simple & straight forward.
I punched a circle out of a large post-it note using the 2 1/2" circle punch.
Placing the hole from the circle in the center of the Whisper White card stock, I started sponging inside the circle opening.
Sponge from light colors to dark colors. Remember you can always add more to make a color darker but you can't take away to make it lighter.
Once I was happy with the colors I removed the Post-It Note and stamped the image in Basic Black ink.
When I was sure it was all dry, I mounted the Whisper White on to Cajun Craze.
